Rotational velocities of A-type stars in the northern hemisphere. II. Measurement of v sin i This work is the second part of the set of measurements of v sin i forA-type stars, begun by Royer et al. (\cite{Ror_02a}). Spectra of 249 B8to F2-type stars brighter than V=7 have been collected at Observatoirede Haute-Provence (OHP). Fourier transforms of several line profiles inthe range 4200-4600 Å are used to derive v sin i from thefrequency of the first zero. Statistical analysis of the sampleindicates that measurement error mainly depends on v sin i and thisrelative error of the rotational velocity is found to be about 5% onaverage. The systematic shift with respect to standard values fromSlettebak et al. (\cite{Slk_75}), previously found in the first paper,is here confirmed. Comparisons with data from the literature agree withour findings: v sin i values from Slettebak et al. are underestimatedand the relation between both scales follows a linear law ensuremath vsin inew = 1.03 v sin iold+7.7. Finally, thesedata are combined with those from the previous paper (Royer et al.\cite{Ror_02a}), together with the catalogue of Abt & Morrell(\cite{AbtMol95}). The resulting sample includes some 2150 stars withhomogenized rotational velocities. Based on observations made atObservatoire de Haute Provence (CNRS), France. The photoelectric astrolabe catalogue of Yunnan Observatory (YPAC). The positions of 53 FK5, 70 FK5 Extension and 486 GC stars are given forthe equator and equinox J2000.0 and for the mean observation epoch ofeach star. They are determined with the photoelectric astrolabe ofYunnan Observatory. The internal mean errors in right ascension anddeclination are +/- 0.046" and +/- 0.059", respectively. The meanobservation epoch is 1989.51.

Vitesses radiales. Catalogue WEB: Wilson Evans Batten. Subtittle: Radial velocities: The Wilson-Evans-Batten catalogue. We give a common version of the two catalogues of Mean Radial Velocitiesby Wilson (1963) and Evans (1978) to which we have added the catalogueof spectroscopic binary systems (Batten et al. 1989). For each star, when possible, we give: 1) an acronym to enter SIMBAD (Set ofIdentifications Measurements and Bibliography for Astronomical Data) ofthe CDS (Centre de Donnees Astronomiques de Strasbourg). 2) the numberHIC of the HIPPARCOS catalogue (Turon 1992). 3) the CCDM number(Catalogue des Composantes des etoiles Doubles et Multiples) byDommanget & Nys (1994). For the cluster stars, a precise study hasbeen done, on the identificator numbers. Numerous remarks point out theproblems we have had to deal with.

Far-ultraviolet stellar photometry: A field in Orion Far-ultraviolet photometry for 625 objects in Orion is presented. Thesedata were extracted from electrographic camera images obtained duringsounding rocket flights in 1975 and 1982. The 1975 images were centeredclose to the belt of Orion while the 1982 images were centeredapproximately 9 deg further north. One hundred and fifty stars fell inthe overlapping region and were observed with both cameras. Sixty-eightpercent of the objects were tentatively identified with known starsusing the SIMBAD database while another 24% are blends of objects tooclose together to separate with our resolution. As in previous studies, the majority of the identified ultraviolet sources are early-type stars. However, there are a significant number for which no such identificationwas possible, and we suggest that these are interesting objects whichshould be further investigated. Seven stars were found which were brightin the ultraviolet but faint in the visible. We suggest that some ofthese are nearby white dwarfs.

Far-ultraviolet stellar photometry - A field in Monoceros FUV photometry of stars in a field in Monoceros in the wavelength rangefrom 1230 to 1600 A has been carried out using data from anelectrographic Schmidt camera carried on a sounding rocket. Ultravioletmagnitudes were extracted for 602 objects in the field. Fifty-eightpercent were tentatively identified with visible stars using the SIMBADdata base while another 25 percent are blends of objects too closetogether to separate with our resolution. Eleven of the UV objectscoincide with parts of the star clusters NGC 2169, NGC 2244, and NGC2264 in which individual stars cannot be resolved. As in previousstudies, the majority of the identified ultraviolet sources areidentified with early-stars. However, there are a significant number forwhich no such identification was possible, and we suggest that many ofthese are nearby white dwarfs.

An atlas of stellar spectra between 2.00 and 2.45 microns Spectra between 2.00 and 2.45 microns, with a resolution of about 0.02micron are presented for a sample of 73 stars. These stars include asupergiant, giants, dwarfs and subdwarfs, and have a range in chemicalabundance from about -2 to +0.5 dex.

'Normal' main sequence AO stars of low rotational velocity A set of v sin i values has been derived in a homogeneous way for allthe northern unevolved AO stars which are listed in the Bright StarCatalogue and which are known to rotate more slowly than 40 km/s. Themethod used for the v sin i measurement employs the FFT algorithm and isdesigned to make the best use possible of line profiles obtained fromphotographic spectrograms. It is interesting to notice that, from afirst glance analysis of the spectra obtained, the suspicion arises thatAO single stars with atmospheric solar composition are very rare or evennonexistent among slow rotators (v sin i of less than 15 km/s).

Radial velocities of northern Mercury stars About 200 radial velocities of 96 bright northern Hg-Mn or candidateHg-Mn stars are presented. Past and present data have been reexaminedfor periodic variability in cases that were neither previously known tobe binaries with well determined orbits nor were considered to haveconstant velocity. One definite new orbit was found (that of HR 3361)and several possible orbital solutions are given.

A two-color photometric system for the near infrared A new two-color system for photoelectic photometry has been devised toaid interpretation of near-infrared photographs taken on the IV-Nemulsion. The system should also lend itself to applications usingsilicon diode detectors. This paper describes the instrumentation, establishment of standard stars, and transformation to other systems. Inaddition, photoelectric sequences are given for some fields near thegalactic plane.
