Two-colour photometry for 9473 components of close Hipparcos double and multiple stars Using observations obtained with the Tycho instrument of the ESAHipparcos satellite, a two-colour photometry is produced for componentsof more than 7 000 Hipparcos double and multiple stars with angularseparations 0.1 to 2.5 arcsec. We publish 9473 components of 5173systems with separations above 0.3 arcsec. The majority of them did nothave Tycho photometry in the Hipparcos catalogue. The magnitudes arederived in the Tycho B_T and V_T passbands, similar to the Johnsonpassbands. Photometrically resolved components of the binaries withstatistically significant trigonometric parallaxes can be put on an HRdiagram, the majority of them for the first time. Based on observationsmade with the ESA Hipparcos satellite.
| Visual measurements of southern double stars. III A total of 198 micrometric observations of 103 double stars arereported, which form the third series of a program started at Cordobawith a 30-cm refractor. The pairs observed are largely neglected widesystems mostly south of -60 deg, many of them having only one previousobservation. Internal errors are estimated, and all existingmeasurements of the pairs are used to study the personal equation.Catalog proper motions are employed to investigate the motion and natureof many of these stars.
| Absolute and relative motion of the visual double star HJ 3370 AC The absolute proper motion of the primary component of HJ 3370 AC isderived on the basis of all available photographic and meridianobservations. The relative trajectory is then computed from all existingdifferential measurements, and the pair is shown to be optical. Anephemeris is presented for the interval 1988 - 2000. The proper motion(p.m.) of the secondary is obtained by combining that of the primarywith the relative motion. Both proper motions are finally compared withother determinations.
