The occultation of gamma Geminorum by the asteroid 381 Myrrha
The occultation of Gamma Geminorum by asteroid 381 Myrrha on January 13,1991, observed in Japan and China, was the brightest event ever seen ofa stellar occultation by an asteroid. By the analysis of the timing dataof this event measured in Japan, it is shown that the cross section ofMyrrha is well fitted with an ellipse of (147.2 +/- 2.4) km x (126.6 +/-7.9) km. An upper limit of the diameter of Gamma Geminorum is alsoestimated to be 2.6 milliarcsec. The companion of Gamma Geminorum ofabout 7.5 mag was sited at separation (64 +/- 8) milliarcsec in thedirection P = 129 deg +/- 59 deg, and the relative position of Myrrha toGamma Geminorum was determined to an accuracy of about 1 milliarcsec.Direct constraints on Myrrha's 3D shape and the direction of itsrotation axis are obtained on the assumption of it being a triaxialellipsoid with isotropic orientation.

Observations of the 8 December 1987 occultation of AG +40 deg 0783 by 324 Bamberga
The occultation of AG+40 deg 0783 by 324 Bamberga on 8 December 1987 wasobserved at 13 sites in the United States, Japan, and China. At foursites the event was observed photoelectrically; the other observationswere visual. A least-squares fit of a circular limb profile to the datagives a diameter of 227.6 + or - 1.9 km. However, this solution isinconsistent with a negative visual observation near the northern edgeof the ground track. The inconsistency cannot be removed by assuming anelliptical profile. The data suggest that Bamberga, despite itslow-amplitude lightcurve, may depart significantly from a spherical orellipsoidal shape. The asteroid also appears to be at least 10 percentsmaller than indicated by infrared radiometry.

The Photoelectric Observation of Occultation of Star SAO:41263 by Asteroid 324 Bamberga
A photoelectric observation of occultation of SAO 41263 by (324)Bamberga was made on December 8, 1987. The observational results are asfollows: immersion time: 12h54m54s.7(UT), emersion time: 12h55m19s.5 (UT),duration of occultation: 24s.8, which are close to the dataof prediction.
